TLDR: Better, fresher, vibrant pepper like you've never tasted before. Buy now.
Now for the rest of us that like more info on a review:
Vibrant. Like a summer fruit or a coffee with many bright tasting notes.
My family are bemused that my late night snack is often a few peppercorns. If you're not sure whether to order - go ahead, worth the shipping tbh i despise paying shipping but once you eat this pepper you'll wonder what else you can cook that uses pepper. My young kids had an aversion to pepper but now the pepper mill lives on the dining table (it's sure got a heat kick but they love the flavour so push though the spice). If you like comparisons: this pepper is like a complex perfume and imported/supermarket pepper tastes compatitively like dull ash. Other pepper is George Costanza and this pepper is Elvis or maybe a Hemsworth. I get it, you're skeptical of my review and think it's hyperbole, but I was like you before my first order- i couldn't comprehend how it could taste so different. Mouth feel of the peppercorn is crunchy with a nice amount of chew which to me suggests freshness that was a berry on a tree. Grinds well in the pepper mill. I discovered Aussie Pepper while searching for Australian products after a doctor advised my nephew with anaphylaxis not to risk the potential contamination of imported food products but mostly I just love buying local (well Sydney to Cairns). I'm so excited you can successfully grow pepper in Australia. Thank you. Keep up the great work. A delightful product that elevates my cooking.
