White Aussie Pepper Whole

White pepper is produced from the same Piper nigrum plant as black pepper but is milder in flavour and often used in Chinese and other Asian cooking. These are whole white peppercorns that you will need to grind yourself in a spice grinder or use with a pepper grinder.

White pepper is made from fully ripe pepper berries rather than the green peppercorns that black pepper is made from. They are soaked in water for about 10 days, fermented and the skins are removed which removes some of the volatile oils.
